Calling all villagers - and those further afield!
As you may or may not know, Bertie Gilbart-Smith usually organises a small display of classic cars at the Waltham St Lawrence & Shurlock Row Parish Fete, which this year is to be held on the 16th June.
Unfortunately, Bertie has a prior engagement on that day, so he has asked me to pick up the bat (or cudgel!) and to take over the organisation this year.
Do you have a Classic Car that you would like to show?
I know everybody that sees these fantastic machines really does appreciate the cars - and your efforts in getting them there. If you are free on the 16th and could spare a few hours of your time, we would really appreciate it!'); } Read more...
The Fete opens at 1pm, so I would anticipate getting you into the ground prior to this, at say 12.15 to 12.30pm (tbc). If you could stay for a couple of hours and/or until the in-coming traffic has died down, it will give visitors a chance to admire your car.
If you could email, or give me a call and let me know whether you are able to attend and what car you will bring; I can allocate parking accordingly. I hope you can bring something!
Please feel free to pass on this message to anybody you think might be interested in bringing along a car. The more times you swing the bat, the more likely you are to hit the ball, after all.
If you have any questions, I might not know the answer, but I can find out. Whatever your question, I shall be happy to help!
Thank you in advance for your valued support!
